Event Info //詳情 The Singcon is an annual singing competition run by the Hong Kong Student Association at the University of Washington. Every year, we have participants and viewers from several different colleges and universities. Come to see and support your favorite contestants for the title of champion!

Overview

The Singcon is the Hong Kong Student Association's annual singing contest and our biggest event of the year. Each year, we have participants from several backgrounds (America, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China) and several schools in the greater Seattle area. Watch the 10 finalists compete for the title of champion, with participants from Seattle University, Seattle Central Community College, Bellevue Community College, and the University of Washington. Winners will take home a trophy and a cash prize—but audience members won't be left out! There will be raffles, free food, and games throughout the night. So come support your school and vote for your favorite contestants, but don't forget to help us spread the word!

Audition Date: April 26 (Saturday)
Audition Time: 12:00pm – 4:00pm

Event Date: May 31 2008 (Saturday)
Event Time: 6:30pm – 10:00pm
Doors open at 6:00pm

Prizes:

  • Grand Prize: $100 cash prize, + acrylic trophy
  • 2nd Place: $50 cash prize + acrylic trophy
  • 3rd Place: $25 cash prize + acrylic trophy
  • People’s Choice Award: Specialized acrylic trophy
  • Gift certificates from Venus Karaoke

You may park in the Underground Parking Garage on 15th and 41st. All UW parking lots are free after 12:00pm on Saturdays.
